"You say 'I' and you are proud of this word. But greater than this - although you will not believe in it - it is your body and it's great intelligence that does not say 'I' but performs 'I'."
I have been dipping into this book and have found so many gems, it's is like being in an orchard full of ripe fruit.
I was horrified when I discovered that Nietzsche's writings had inspired the Third Reich and the idea of the 'super-race'. For that reason I have always been reluctant to read much of his writings. Over the past week or so, I have faced that fear and found myself intrigued with this man and his work. My mother had read it years ago, and that was good enough for me to pick up Zarathustra and go through it.
